What to do with our yarn SCRAPS - Idea #1

Don't Throw away your scraps, love your scraps!

Idea #1 - Yarn Scraps Wall Art

What you will need:
*Yarn scraps in many pretty colors
*Hot glue
*Shadow box
I used a 12" by 12" Shadow box that looked about 1" deep

Step #1
Take your scraps, pick out the colors that you would like (Colors that will work well with your home decor) and roll them into small balls that will fit inside your shadow box.
Make enough balls to tightly fit inside your box
Step #2
Super/hot glue ends to the balls to keep them from unraveling and looking all messy.
Step #3
Have fun with the design for your "Yarn Scraps - Wall Art"- make different shapes - clump certain colors together - think rainbow - make a picture (flower, fruit, or tree)
Step #4
Hang it, or set it down in the perfect spot, stand back.....and admire with a smile

  2. Oh I love this! I have so many bit of yarn laying around. It will look so pretty! Thanks for sharing ! x

  3. My grandmother left me her yarn when she died. This would be a great way to display her scraps I just can't part with.

    1. Oh, that's so sweet! Sniffle. Missing my grandma, too ...

  5. This is so cute! A great idea for our yarn stash and super kid friendly too!

  6. So cheery! I'm wondering, is there a way to make one of these and be able to pull the little balls out to use as needed. Sure would be lovely. And practical since I'm always using up little balls ... and creating more.
